Joy Wood serves as Administrator at Susquehanna Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She had previously served for 50 years as the Administrator at our sister facility, Roscoe Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. With a long and progressive career in healthcare, Joy has held numerous roles, including Nurse Aide, LPN, RN, RN Supervisor, Unit Manager, Nurse Educator, and Director of Nursing. Her broad clinical and leadership experience provides her with a deep understanding of resident care and facility operations.
Joy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hartwick College and completed her Administrator Core Credits at St. Joseph’s College of Maine. She is actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the New York Health Facilities Association (NYSHFA), where she serves on the Board of Directors.
Joy is passionate about teamwork, problem-solving, and mentoring staff as they grow within the facility. She is dedicated to fostering professional development while maintaining high standards of resident satisfaction and quality care.
Outside of work, Joy enjoys boating, traveling, and spending time with her family.
