Benson Onghai, MD, serves as the Medical Director at Brookhaven Healthcare Facility and has been part of the team since 2002. With more than two decades of experience at the facility, Dr. Onghai brings a steady clinical presence and a strong commitment to supporting residents throughout their care and rehabilitation journeys.
Dr. Onghai earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. He is affiliated with the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, reflecting his dedication to the field of rehabilitative medicine and helping patients improve their functional abilities.
One of Dr. Onghai’s favorite aspects of his work is helping patients maximize their rehabilitation potential and supporting them as they regain strength and independence. He values working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to help residents achieve their recovery goals.
Outside of work, Dr. Onghai enjoys walking with his German Shepherd and spending time with his wife and children.
