Amy L. Atwell, FNP-BC, GS-C, serves as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation. She joined the facility in December 2024, bringing with her more than 26 years of experience within the same care community. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Amy served as a Unit Manager for 10 years and has worked in various clinical capacities at the facility, giving her a deep understanding of both resident care and team dynamics.
Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Roberts Wesleyan College and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner training at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State and holds certification as a Gerontological Specialist.
Amy is passionate about helping others and serving as a strong advocate for her patients. She values building meaningful relationships with residents and families and works collaboratively with the care team to support each individual’s health and well-being.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys reading, traveling, playing Euchre, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
