Amanda MacConnell, LMSW, LNHA, serves as Administrator at Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Ulster. She joined the organization in January 2025 and brings a strong background in social work and long-term care leadership to her role. Her experience allows her to approach administration with both operational insight and a deep understanding of the emotional and social needs of residents and families.

Amanda earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University and holds a Long-Term Care Administration Certificate from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. Her educational foundation supports her commitment to compassionate, resident-centered leadership.

One of Amanda’s favorite aspects of her role is building meaningful relationships with residents and their families, knowing she can make a real difference in their quality of life. She takes pride in leading a dedicated team and fostering a positive, supportive environment where both staff and residents feel valued. While each day presents new challenges, she finds it incredibly rewarding to know the work being done truly matters.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys reading, spending time with her children and friends, planning beach vacations, and snuggling with her little dog, Rocky.
